"I was spinning my tires for years running on a treadmill for 20-30 minutes, lifting weights like millions of others and just not getting the results I wanted. A couple years ago I discovered CrossFit and it drastically changed my life! I am in better shape in just two years of CrossFit, than 15 years using traditional methods. My goal now is to help others discover as I did, how life-changing the CrossFit program is!"

Dan found CrossFit in June of 2015. After being in the Marine Corps for 7 years, he tried many different workout programs and videos to follow along with in order to stay fit. They were good at the time but, always lacked something that would allow him to stick with them. CrossFit just made sense and kept him interested in fitness. Working out with others and making new friends in the community is a huge bonus.
Sports and fitness have always been a part of James’ life. While baseball was his only competitive sport growing up, he could always be found playing any number of sports with friends. Once in college, James began lifting weights and continued with bodybuilding-style workouts into his mid-20’s. James found CrossFit in 2013 and was instantly drawn to the varied nature of the program, as well as the community-focused atmosphere. He employed CrossFit methodology on his own, before becoming a member at CrossFit Echo in February of 2016. In September of 2019 he earned his CF-L1 Certificate, with a goal of helping members of the CrossFit Echo community reach their fitness goals. James is currently the engineering department manager at a local manufacturing facility. Aside from CrossFit, he spends his time with his wife and two children, and continues to play competitive baseball in the Western Mass. Wood Bat League.
